Scientific Career

• Since 10/2024            PhD-Student in the working group Tectonics and Resources at the Institute for Geology, Mineralogy and Geophysics at Ruhr-Universität Bochum. Topic: ”Deep-time multi-mineral thermochronology of the Bushveld Igneous Complex”.
• 2021 - 2024       Master in geology at the Georg-August-Universität Göttingen. Thesis title: “Reconstruction of burial and exhumation of the Keuper Group in Bavaria using vitrinite reflectance analysis, apatite (U-Th)/He- and FT-dating“.
• 2018 - 2021       Bachelor in geology at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität and the Technische Universität in München.

Awards

Hagen Hoemann received the Adolf von Koenen Prize of the University of Göttingen in 2024 for his exceptional master's thesis entitled “Reconstruction of Burial and Exhumation of the Keuper Group in Bavaria using Vitrinite Reflectance Analysis, Apatite (U-Th)/He- and Fission-Track Dating”.
