Goldschmidt Conference 2025 in Prague

Once again, our institute was well represented at this year's Goldschmidt Conference, the world's largest specialist congress in the field of geochemistry. The conference took place in Prague in July and provided an outstanding platform for international scientific exchange.

Several members of our institute, including Dr. Maria Dias, Prof. Sumit Chakraborty, Dr. Maren Kahl, Dr. Evgeny Pogorelov, Dr. Christopher Beyer, M.Sc. Fernanda Torres, Prof. Raúl Fonseca and Prof. Daniel Herwartz, attended the conference. They participated in lectures, discussions and networking meetings with researchers from all over the world.

Highlights included poster presentations by Maria Dias, Fernanda Torres, Sumit Chakraborty and Evgeny Pogorelov, who presented their current research projects and met with great interest. Furthermore, Maren Kahl gave a presentation as part of the conference's scientific programme.

Our institute was also represented in the area of scientific organisation and strategic cooperation:
Sumit Chakraborty, as a member of the editorial team of the journal Elements, took part in meetings with the board of the Geochemical Society (GS).
Raúl Fonseca, in his capacity as a council member of the European Association of Geochemistry (EAG), was involved in strategic discussions on future priorities and developments within the society.

We are delighted with our institute's successful presence and its important contribution to the international geochemical research community!
