"I am a geologist with a strong interest in mountain systems, particularly in understanding how large-scale geological processes shape topography over time. My background combines structural geology, tectonics, geomatics, and field-based approaches, with a focus on linking observations across scales to better understand the evolution of the Earth system as a whole. I am especially interested in the interactions between tectonics, and surface processes in shaping mountainous landscapes such as the Alps.
My current PhD project focuses on constraining the denudation history of carbonate rocks in the Swiss Alps using Electron Spin Resonance (ESR) thermochronometry. The aim is to better understand the timing and rates of erosion, and to identify the main drivers controlling their variations over the past few million years, particularly in response to major climatic changes such as glacial–interglacial cycles. By integrating ESR dating with geomorphological and tectonic perspectives, this project seeks to improve our understanding of how Alpine topography has evolved in response to both climate forcing and tectonic processes."
